RUNNING THE BOARDS WITH COACH ED
LEONARD

Hello
Campers and Parents!!!
First of all, I want to say "thank you" for allowing me to
coach you. Secondly, the other coaches and the medical staff
deserve a huge "thank you" for doing
such a great job. I sincerely hope everyone had
fun because I know I did. I am really glad to
see how the camps have grown over the years, which is the result
of the hard work that Monica, Cyndee, Larry and the other organizers have
done.
The one thing that astonishes me
about these camps is how well everyone gets along. I
have worked countless camps over the years, but these camps have
the best atmosphere. Everyone is always very encouraging
and accepting of one another. These camps aren’t like
normal basketball camps; they're more like family reunions! Many
of you have become friends over the years, which is pretty rare
for a week long or less camp. That just shows you how special
these camps are.
Remember that life is always going to have its obstacles;
you just have to be able to adapt and work with it. I hope
that, over the years, I have taught you as much as you have
taught me. I don’t want to sound like a parent but, make sure
you stay on top of your schoolwork. I had better not hear of
anyone slacking on their studies!!!!
Thanks again, to everyone that
is involved with the Slam Dunk for Diabetes Camps. I hope
to see you return each year.
Sincerely,
Coach
Leonard
