RUNNING THE BOARDS WITH COACH ED
LEONARD

Hello
Campers and Parents!!!
Another great year has come and gone. I want to say "thank you"
for allowing me to coach you again. I also want to say
"thanks" to the other coaches and the medical staff for doing
such a great job again. I hope everyone had
fun
again. I know I did. I am really glad to
see how the camp has grown over the years, which is the result
of the hard work Monica, Larry, and the other organizers have
done.

The one thing that astonishes me
about this camp is how well everyone gets along. I
have worked countless camps over the years, but this camp has
the best atmosphere. Everyone was always very encouraging
and accepting of one another. This camp isn’t like a
normal basketball camp; it’s more like a family reunion! Many
of you have become friends over the years, which is pretty rare
for a week long camp. That just shows you how special this camp
is. Remember that life is always going to have its obstacles;
you just have to be able to adapt and work with it. I hope
that, over the years, I have taught you as much as you have
taught me. I don’t want to sound like a parent but, make sure
you stay on top of your schoolwork. I better not hear of
anyone slacking on their studies!!!!
Thanks, again, to everyone that
was involved with the 2007 Slam Dunk for Diabetes Camp. I hope
to see you all back next year.
Sincerely,
Coach
Leonard
