     Cure Diabetes Magnet Ribbon
Our ribbon is dedicated to the memory of Cathy Fleming.  Cathy was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 5 years of age.  She was a college student when she became my patient.  Cathy was filled with life and brought joy to all who knew her.  She died at the age of 25, after a long battle with the complications of a pancreas transplant.  We hope her spirit lives on through our ribbon.  Click here to read Cathy's story and view the ribbon.

This ribbon represents a combined effort of several individuals with hopes to raise awareness about the disease Diabetes.  We chose the color green because it represents life.  John Harrington, age 22, who has Type 1 diabetes, chose the color sky blue.  He also came up with the slogan, "Almost There".  It represents a sign of hope that soon there will be a cure.

Kristen Camp, who has Type 1 diabetes, along with her son, Ryan (age 6 and also a diabetic), helped design the ribbon.  Kristen's sister, Kim Witczak, is a graphic design artist.  She took our ideas and made them a reality.

All proceeds from the sale of this ribbon will fund the Moses E. Cheeks Slam Dunk for Diabetes Scholarship Camps for kids with diabetes.  Please look below to order your car magnet ribbon today or you can purchase one while camps  are in session.  They are available for $5.00 each.
